Our Dental Team
Our highly trained and dedicated staff prides themselves on being an active part of Dr. Dugard’s office. Our staff is fully committed to excellence and understands the true value of customer service. Our staff is comprised of Dr. Dugard, two dental hygienists, a laboratory technician, a dental assistant and an office manager. We all work together to provide our patients with the highest quality of care. Each team member understands the importance of individuality and therefore makes every effort to listen to each patient’s needs and concerns.
Dr. Dugard
Dr. Dugard has over 30 years experience as well as advanced training in implant and cosmetic dentistry. He began a career in dentistry early in life as a dental laboratory technician. He graduated from UT Dental in 1975. He is a member of several professional associations, including the Memphis Dental Society, The Tennessee Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Dugard served as president of the Germantown Chamber of Commerce from 1989 to 1992. He volunteers his services through DDS (Donated Dental Services), a program designed to help handicapped patients. He and his wife Virginia have four children and seven grand children. Dr. Dugard is an avid fisherman in his spare time and loves to spend time at his farm in Williston, TN.
Frank
Frank is a certified dental technician specializing in creating porcelain ceramic dental restorations, noted for their aesthetic qualities and natural appearance. He uses only the finest materials and precious metals in all his lab fabricated restorations. Frank and his wife Kerie has been married for 35 years. They have two daughters Kimberly of Atlanta, and Amie of Memphis. Frank is a Navy veteran where he retired after 22 years. He enjoys fishing and exercising.
Judith
Judith is the office manager for Dr. Dugard. Judith is very knowledgeable about dental insurance and will help a patient understand and maximize their individual benefits. She assists patients with appointments, payment arrangements, treatment planning and financing. Starting out as a dental assistant, she has been in dentistry for over 20 years and has been with Dr. Dugard for 13 of those years. She and her husband Brian live in Germantown. They have two daughters, Ashley who lives in Eddyville, KY and Sarah who is a student at UTM as well as one granddaughter, Molleigh. In their spare time they enjoy riding their motorcycle.
Dental Hygienists
Kayla and Tiffany are registered dental hygienists. Both are graduates of the University of Tennessee School of Dental Hygiene. They work together to meet the oral health needs of patients. Whether you visit your dental hygienist twice a year or more frequently, they are an integral part of your dental care.
The roles of the hygienist include the following:
- Assessing oral health conditions and reviewing health histories
- Probing and charting periodontal pockets
- Taking dental x-rays
- Removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from teeth surfaces
- Applying preventive materials to the teeth (sealants, fluorides and antibiotics)
- Helping patients learn oral hygiene strategies to maintain optimal oral health
Kayla
Kayla has been in dentistry for over 20 years. She graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee School of Dental Hygiene. She and her husband, Al, live in Germantown and have two daughters, Jesse and Baylee. Both girls attend Germantown Elementary School. They enjoy attending their daughters' sporting events. They attend Longview Heights Baptist Church.
Tiffany
Tiffany is the newest member of our dental team. She is a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Dental Hygiene. She and her husband, Brandon, live in Middleton, TN. They attend the Middleton Church of Christ. Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family at the lake. She loves her precious babies- her dog, Tallie Ann and her cat, Tuffie.
