When not at work, Dr. Johnson loves ballet and dancing. She danced with the Moscow state ballet when they came to Memphis, performing as a snowflake in the infamous Nutcracker Ballet. She later performed with Ballet Memphis until changing to competitive dance with Houston middle school Pom and Houston JV Pom winning Nationals in 2003. She returned to studio dance with Midsouth Dance Academy where she dabbled in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, liturgical, lyrical, belly dance, and break dancing. She even helped with the Grizzly Girls dance team try outs in 2005. She still loves to dance but it's mostly at weddings and goofing around with family and friends now. She also teaches Pilates at the Germantown Athletic Club.

I always knew she liked taking care of people, when I was in fifth grade I decided I would become a doctor. After a knee injury in high school, I started working with the school’s athletic trainer, Trip Tuner, and Team Doctor, Dr. John Lochemes of Titan Orthopedics,  and got my first taste of emergency medicine.

While writing my application essay for medical school (and most likely grinding my teeth she says)  my front tooth chipped. While getting it fixed, my childhood dentist, Dr. Lee Wilson, suggested I stay and see what he did for a living. I loved that he got to see whole families, a variety of procedures, play with colors, and sculpt little masterpieces that were not only beautiful but functional. I was hooked! The next day I started applying to dental school and studying for the DAT. While in dental school, I became passionate about cosmetic dentistry. I have been blessed with amazing mentors and a wonderful job that allows me to live my dream by replacing pain with smiles every day.
