What to expect at your dental appointment post COVID-19:
We are happy to announce that we will be reopening on Monday May 11, 2020
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable for you. We wanted to let you know what we are doing to insure your safety during your dental visit to our office. In addition to the sterilization and disinfecting methods we have always followed, we have implemented new OSHA guidelines effective against COVID-19. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that the infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agency’s recommendations.
We will be staggering patient appointment times in order to limit the amount of patients in the office at one time, it will be imperative that you be on time for your appointment
We will have you call from your car when you arrive and then you will wait in your car until we are ready for you. We will call you when it is your turn to come in. Additionally, we ask that only the patient come in the office for the appointment, unless you need help for mobility issues
We will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions
We will be taking patient temperatures at each appointment
We ask that you notify us if you are having any flu like symptoms as we will have to reschedule
We request that you bring your own mask or face covering to and from your appointment
We will be wearing N95 masks and face shields
We will be wearing disposable surgical gowns
We will be wearing head coverings during your procedure
We will provide you with protective eye wear to use during your procedure
We will have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use as you enter the office
We will have you do a peroxide rinse prior to your procedure
Each staff member will have their temperature taken and will perform a COVID-19 assessment daily
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.
